What the site is
SurfSizer provides free surf sizing calculators and explanatory guides. It is an information service. It does not sell anything, take payment, hold accounts, or act as an intermediary in any purchase you make elsewhere.
Using the site
You may use the calculators and read the guides freely, for personal or commercial purposes, without asking permission and without payment. You may link to any page here.
You may not: scrape or bulk-download the site in a way that degrades it for others; republish substantial portions of the written content as your own; frame or present the site in a way that implies affiliation or endorsement that does not exist; attempt to interfere with the site's operation or security; or use it for anything unlawful.
The results are estimates
This deserves stating in the terms as well as everywhere else on the site. Every figure produced by a calculator here is an estimate derived from published rules of thumb, not a measurement or a specification. It is intended to inform a decision, not to make one for you.
Nothing on this site is professional, medical or safety advice, and nothing on it tells you whether it is safe to enter the water. The Disclaimer sets out the limits in full and forms part of these terms.
No warranty
The site is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. No promise is made that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the information on it is complete or current.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SurfSizer and its owner accept no liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site or anything on it. That expressly includes decisions made and money spent on equipment on the basis of a figure produced by a calculator here.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Intellectual property
The written guides, the calculator logic and the design of this site are the work of its owner and are protected by copyright. You are welcome to quote a short passage with a link back. Reproducing whole pages, or republishing the content as your own, is not permitted.
Brand, manufacturer and product names appearing on the site belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively. SurfSizer is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them.
Links to other sites
Links to external websites are provided for convenience and reference. Those sites are outside our control, and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or how they treat your data. A link is not an endorsement.
Advertising
The site currently carries no advertising. If advertising is introduced, it will be clearly distinguishable from the site's own content and will not be presented as editorial recommendation. Advertisements are supplied by third parties, and their presence is not an endorsement of the advertiser or their products.
